Update:
I still cannot find a solution. I tried using WPA/TKIP, WPA2/TKIP, WPA2/AES,
WPA2/TKIP+AES and all have the same problem and have tried different
frequencies/channels to no avail and it makes no difference if I have the
Linksys firmware or dd-wrt on my router. It seems like this is a bug in the
wireless drivers or the hardware (or combination). I have also seen dropping
connections with my Samsung blue-ray player (why I tried all the different
settings) but my linux laptop (ip2200 driver) is very stable on the wireless as
are our iPod Touch devices.

Google has brought no additional information and I can still only reboot
to get the wireless to work again once it stops working which is very
annoying.

Any advice at all here?
