Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

1. Open any directory with files in it (e.g. Places (gnome-panel) -> Desktop)
2. Drop-down menu of the sidebar has focus instead of the directory contents.

You first have to click somewhere in the content area or on a file/directory
before you can type-to-search.
This only happens in "icon view" and "compact view". If the directory is
displayed as "list view", the initial focus is on the directory contents (as
expected).
