Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: tomboy

I've seen this error randomly when syncing with both 1.0.1 and 1.1.0 on both
9.10 and 10.04 Alpha.

[DEBUG]: Sync: Uploading 1 note updates
[DEBUG]: Building web request for URL: https://one.ubuntu.com/notes/api/1.0/op/
[DEBUG]: Building web request for URL: https://one.ubuntu.com/notes/api/1.0/op/
[ERROR]: Synchronization failed with the following exception: Unexpected
character '<' at [1:1]

I don't know what causes it, it starts to happen at random, and the only
solution I've found is to reset the sync config.. and re-add it, it then
syncs but the un-synced changes are lost.

It seems to go through the whole process, “downloading”, “uploading”,
“committing changes”… then it says “Could not synchronize notes, Check
the details below and try again”.

The details below say that the changes were uploaded to the server, but
they were not.
