UPDATE: I went into my software sources on a hunch and decided to start accepting the "Karmic Proposed" packages. After running software update, my laptop took a step in the right direction: I can now suspend (and quite quickly compared to Hardy and Jaunty), but when I come out of suspend, my laptop has an enlarged portion of the upper right corner of the screen in inverted colors over the whole monitor, and everything is frozen. Closer to functionality, but not quite there.
The updates included Linux firmware, a few lib- packages, and some updates to Xserver. Either one of these (firmware or Xserver) sounds like a likely culprit to me. Just my two cents. -- [IBM 1834RTG] late resume failure https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/485108 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
