Trying to run VMWare Player 3.0.0 build 203739 on Karmic 64-bit, I get
this error:
/usr/lib/vmware/bin/vmplayer: symbol lookup error:
/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules/libcanberra-gtk-module.so: undefined symbol:
gtk_widget_get_window
gtk_widget_get_window is indeed undefined in libcanberra-gtk-module.so:
objdump -T /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules/libcanberra-gtk-module.so | grep
gtk_widget_get_window
0000000000000000 DF *UND* 0000000000000000
gtk_widget_get_window
This symbol is not defined in any shared library on the system.
The 32-bit version of VMWare 3.0.0 build 203739 runs fine on my Karmic
32-bit system, although libcanberra-gtk-module.so contains the same
undefined symbol.
I can't find gtk_widget_get_window in any of the shared libraries on
either system.
