Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

I tried to upgrade from 6.06 LTS to 6.10 with the recommended command:

gksu "update-manager -c"

But all what the update-manager says, it that the system is already up-
to-date. I also tried "update-manager -c -d" with the same result. I
don't see the message: "A new distribution release '6.10' is available".

Do I have to prepare something else before running the update-manager?
