Sorry for the delay. This seems to be a problem in the way that the wiki
and Launchpad talk to each other so I'm assigning it to the moin-openid
project which is responsible for that code. Hopefully they will be able
to help you out.
I'm glad in the meantime you have found a temporary solution by creating
a new user.
