Just to add on to my last comment the instructions say "Wubi Desktop Install (Windows Side)
Case ID: wdi-001 1. Switch on your machine log in to Windows 2. Insert the install cd 3. Wait for Ubutnu CD Menu (Umenu) to start 4. Click on Install inside Windows 5. Add a username, select a language, and optionally enable some of the accessibility options. 6. Type in your password twice and click on Install 7. Wait for the windows side of the installation to finish and remove cd 8.
