I upgraded from Karmic to Lucid and this occurred with a very slightly
different error message:
rhythmbox assert failure: rhythmbox: ../../src/xcb_io.c:385: _XAllocID:
Assertion `ret != inval_id' failed.
I tried again and rhythmbox opened successfully.
