It did not. /usr/share/icons/gnome/scalable did not exist at all. I did, noticing the changing path in the error message, in /usr/share/icons/gnome :
sudo mkdir -p scalable/places sudo mkdir -p 16x16/places sudo mkdir -p 22x22/places sudo mkdir -p 24x24/places sudo mkdir -p 32x32/places After *all* of these, the package seems to have installed without any further errors. Finally. It also seems that I can now do some pkg upgrading without getting any of these errors anymore.
