Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xsane

1) Release: Ubuntu 9.10 AMD64
2) XSANE version 0.996-2ubuntu1.1, libsane 1.0.20-4ubuntu3
3) Yesterday I opened SANE/XSANE via GIMP in order to scan slides with my Nikon
Coolscan II (LS-20?). After several hours of tweaking I got pretty good
results, and I decided to make a screendump to document my settings.
When I pressed the PrtScr-button on my keyboard, I got the screendump, but at
the same time, the scan preview image in SANE/XSANE turned from positive to
negative.

Today, I get the "Failed to open device 'coolscan:/dev/sg3': Invalid argument."
popup box when trying to access the scanner via GIMP menu File -> import ->
XSANE -> coolscan.
When selecting the File -> import -> XSANE -> Device dialog.. menu item, I get
to open XSANE and scan, but the colours are inverted when selecting "Slide",
and positive when selecting "Negative".

** Affects: xsane (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
