So I modified a XP cd and included my Intel SATA drivers. Fix the mbr
with 'fixmbr' and exited the XP recovery console. After the system
restarted, GRUB was there again but seemingly there are only some parts
of the GRUB code. Now the system hangs with "GRUB" message again as if
Windows is booted and the original bug is reproduced, the difference is
that the system actually can be restarted once (only once, yeah, after
every second try and respectively hang of the system, it can only be
powered down through the power button...).
