Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.20-9-generic
Just did a aptitude dist-upgrade from edgy to feisty on an ASUS W3N
laptop, and upon booting into feisty, ACPI suspend no longer works (it
would go into suspend, but will not wakeup).
Also, he wireless on/off software button on the laptop will no longer work.
This is the error message I'm getting from /var/log/acpid.
/etc/acpi/wireless.sh: line 9: echo: write error: Invalid argument
I then tried to run:
echo -n 0 > $DEVICE/device/power/state;
myself as root, based on what /etc/acpi/wireless.sh is doing, same error
message.
Booting back into linux-image-2.6.17-11 from edgy-security makes ACPI
suspend working again. However I will have to test the wireless button
later.
