Binary package hint: kdepim
KMail creates temporary files with template NAME_[XXX].EXTENSION when
user opens an attahcnment.
Microsoft Office 2003 cannot open files with name containing '[' or ']'
symbols. So user cannot open xls or doc attachments from KMail via
installed MS Office (yes, I know that most people does not use MS Office
in Ubuntu).
I suggests to remove '[' and ']' symbols from temporary attachment file
template.
Both KDE 3.5.x and 4.x ara affected.
Patch for 8.04 is available.
