You probably need root permissions unless you happen to own the file. Use:
gksu gedit 50-udev-default
If that works, please mark this bug 'Invalid'.
If you really are the owner of that file (check with: ls -la ), then set the
bug back to 'New'.
Marking 'Incomplete' until you respond.
