Schily, you are right, even using the command "cdrecord" it also doesn't
work.

Not sure if it's a problem of my burner physically, because everything
works fine for my new burner.

I wouldn't bother to dig in the old burner.

K3b burnt a data dvd but that disk can't be recognized by any dvd device 
including the burner itself
