I've got the module compiled by downloading the source code from the sourceforge lirc page. It compiled and inserted successfully and I was able to see data coming from the /dev/lirc0 device with mode2.
I purged the lirc-modules-source package, used dpkg with the --unpack switch to unpack the .deb file, and edit the following files to add in the lirc_wpc8769l module for compilation by dkms: /usr/src/lirc-0.8.6/dkms.conf /usr/src/lirc-0.8.6/lirc-modules-source.conf Find patches for the above changes attached. This successfully creates the lirc_wpc8769l.ko file, but it does not successfully load via modprobe or insmod: ** Attachment added: "Configuration to add wpc8769l module" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/37992246/dkms.conf.patch -- wpc8769l module not included in build list https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/508266 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
