I am having this problem too on the Ubuntu 9.10 graphic installer which I downloaded from Ubuntu.com in the last week. It has happened on two different machines. On one machine I was able to get around it by plugging in a PS/2 keyboard, but the other machine only has USB ports on it.
I have had the same result with two different keyboards too - one a Gateway bought in the UK in the mid-nineties, and one a Dell bought in France a couple of years ago. On the machine where I was able to use a PS/2 keyboard for the install, I think that once I had chosen the "Install" option on the initial prompt, the USB keyboard worked again, but I can't remember for sure. In day-to-day usage of this machine, the USB works fine. -- Ibex fails to recognise usb keyboard https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293779 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
