Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: firefox-3.5
With Firefox open on display :0 on the main PC and a VNC server running
on display :1 on the main PC, you cannot open Firefox when logged into
display :1 on a client PC when logged on with the same username. This
may also be the case with different usernames although I have not tried
this.
The error message recieved is "Firefox is already running, but is not
responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing
Firefox process or restart your system."
This is also the case when trying to open Firefox on the main PC when it
is open in the client.
