installed ubuntu 9.10 desktop 2 days ago 64bit AMD dvd - brand new media disk
from linux dealer - NOT downloaded -
why does firefox and mouse cursor freeze on screen and then crash ?
have to press reset button on computer to reboot o/s - why ?
anyone have a fix for this ? - i thought all the bugs had been fixed on new Ubu

I have encountered the same problem
installed ubuntu 9.1 on an IBM A31.
installation tooke very long, approx. 1 hour
after start of firefox after a few mouse-movements system froze.
has anyone a solution?
dlete everything and install ubuntu 8 instead?
