Public bug reported:
The German keyboard layout (mac nodeadkeys) is wrong when using an apple
alumimium keyboard is wrong.
The biggest disadvantage is that the "<" and ">" keys are not accessible
by default. A great setback for every developer who has to use these
keys regularly!
Here is the modification of the "mac nodeadkeys" mapping:
// original mappings
// key <TLDE> { [ asciicircum, degree, notsign ] };
// key <BKSL> { [ numbersign, apostrophe, grave ] };
// new mappings to get greater and lesser characters
key <TLDE> { [ less, greater, sterling ] };
key <LSGT> { [ asciicircum, degree, notsign ] };
As many users complain about wrong key mapping on these keyboards I
suggest that a new keyboard class "Apple Aluminium" with proper mappings
for all languages or something similar is introduced.
