Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.5
Routinely see text below pictures covering text of article. Routinely see pages with part of headers, including buttons obscured by next lower part of page. Many pages have text entry boxes that display less than top half of each character I enter. Bug applies to 3 computers with various Linux distros, 32 or 64 bits OS, Intel or Nvidia video, in excess of 1 years with same problem. I always set FF for minimum font 12 to 16 points, always use Nimbus Sans L font. Not known if same in Windiz, as I always use Linuxes. Problem webs include youtube.com, cnet.com, http://www.hp.com/#Product, any foxnews page including video. Problem does not occur on any page including Chinese, Korean, Japanses or Hebrew fonts. Problem is not fixed by zooming page, reloading page or changing size of FF window. If page is displayed with text overlaid on text in Thinkpad with Intel - Intel hardware & 1024 X 768 display, then same problem will occur on same web page in AMD - Nvidia computer with 1920 X 1200 display. I use same font in 12 to 15 point size when configuring KDE but FF has bad display, not KDE. Recently I have used Mandriva, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Fedora without noticing any distro free of this FF problem. I suppose I should go try it in Opera & Gnome & will do so if asked to.
