Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: nautilus
I need to mount NFS shares to my my laptop at work, and had discovered
that there is no NFS entry in 'Places -> Connect to server...' drop down
menu. I then selected Service Type: "Other" to no avail. Whether I use
'nfsserver:/share' or 'nfs://nfsserver/share' URI it fails to connect
and asks me to enter a server name, which is already there!
Next, I fed nfs://nfsserver/share path into Nautilus and it said that
nfs:// URI was not supported.
I do have nfs-common package installed and can mount NFS shares using
'sudo mount nfsserver:/share /mnt' command in the terminal. It would be
really nice to have support for mounting NFS shares in Nautilus/GNOME
though.
