I have the same problem, maybe caused by enabling certain Karmic repositories in my Jaunty in the hope of pulling the new Virtualbox (to run Dustin Kirkland's testdrive). A small number of updates were installed (despite my using Apt pinning which failed blatantly) - no Virtualbox since that would have broken too many packages. Everything works fine after a reboot (Karmic repositories disabled again), except that evince gives me the error:
evince: symbol lookup error: evince: undefined symbol: ev_view_update_view_size There were no broken packages during the update. There is no .crash file in /var/crash/ directory. I cannot get apport to report the bug either. When I try to open a document in evince, there is an applet in the the toolbar which says "opening blah blah" which subsequently disappears. Any suggestions? (I have tried reinstalling evince as well as ubuntu- desktop) -- evince crashed with "ev_view_update_view_size" symbol lookup error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/505730 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
