I spoke too fast.

amarok is back up to its old tricks with a few new twists. It skips from
channel to channel --- it wont play what I want to play but what IT
wants to play. Unless I shut amarok down and then bring it back up, it
wont play. The amarok screen shows amarok as playing but there is no
audio. Yesterday, I was troubled with one segmentation fault after
another---the wizard said that the backtrace was no good and couldn't be
used. The last backtrace I ran is submitted with this report

I have put a number of updates on my computer: could this be causing
problems? Are there packages or programs that should be removed?
