I've encountered this issue as well on Ubuntu 9.10 x86_64. I'm wondering if its related to the javascript errors that are reported in the error console. The page does use Flash for some purpose that I'm not sure of, but that doesn't seem to be the issue as the page loads fine under Google Chrome on the same machine (my understanding is that Chrome uses the same flash plugin as firefox). That is of course speculation, as it could be an interaction between flash and firefox that Chrome does not exhibit.
Error: obj is null Source File: https://www.citicards.com/cards/wv/js/homeBott2Min.js Line: 23 The page actually starts to load fine, but it seems that as soon as the javascript error occurs the page "locks up". I'm using a very freshly installed copy of Ubuntu (only about 2 days old) and am fully up to date as of 1/21/2010. Firefox version: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20100106 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.5.7 Uname: Linux 2.6.31-17-generic #54-Ubuntu SMP Thu Dec 10 17:01:44 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux Flash version: 10,0,42,34 Flash should be the proper 64-bit version: > file /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, stripped I've tried this exact same page on Windows XP 32-bit running Firefox 3.5.7 and it does NOT report the javascript errors and the page works fine. I've also loaded the page with Google Chrome 4.0.249.43 on the same Ubuntu 9.10 machine and the page works there as well. -- Cannot select items on https://www.citicards.com/cards/wv/home.do https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/454846 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
