Stephen Kitt: You beat me a bit =) Well debian's inputattach is patched so it's fresher then Ubuntu's. Currently it looks like inputattach is in main and this will bring in binary joysticks package and binary calibration tests package into main as well. In total all debs build from Debian joystick are about 50kB.
I guess this will need to go though a mini main inclusion bug. I could update ubuntu inputattach to debian's revision..... if there are some other issues. Debian maintainer also wants to move to udev from init script for joystick.
