It is backports caused the problem. I have fixed it. type these commands
in terminal you should be able to have it fixed in minutes.
r...@ubuntu:apt-get remove linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.31-17-generic \
linux-backports-modules-2.6.31-17-generic
r...@ubuntu:apt-get install --reinstall bcmwl-kernel-source
Then click on your network manager icon in your launch panel you should
see all available wireless service.
