I compile the stage driver from http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/linville/wireless-2.6.git;a=tree;f=drivers/staging/vt6656;h=b6bbb56e85b8c1b57a81b405e77297df3d60335d;hb=HEAD on my zotac 9300 wifi with "linux mint helena 8 64 bit" (Ubuntu 9.10) with john cliffords patched makefile. I can compile the driver but if i try to install it (insmod) the whole system freezes, only a reboot will help.
