We do not officially support cdrom ugprade from kubuntu 6.06 to 8.04. As a
workaround, please try to add the cdrom (e.g. via apt-cdrom add) and then run
the online upgrade from 6.06 to 8.04 via:
$ sudo apt-get install update-manager
$ sudo update-manager -d
this will run the gtk version of the upgrader. It is better tested
currently for lts->lts upgrades.
