@nowhere: Your concern is appreciated, but you are barking up the wrong tree - The Mozilla corporation is who at fault here. The fact that they do not support 64bit builds of Firefox and that they are prioritizing 64bit bug fixes very low is not the fault of Canonical or Ubuntu developers.
The only way for Ubuntu developers to work around the problematic Mozilla priorities is to build a rebranded version of Firefox instead of packaging official releases.
