Binary package hint: gnome-panel
Whenever I hover over the notifications area balloon, this disappears,
and reappears when I move the cursor outside of the area.
I couldn't find around the exact behavior it should have, but I suppose
it should show a version of the balloon with an "X" used to close it.
Compiz has been completely uninstalled from my system, so I have the
visual effects set to "none".
