Thank you Kees. Downgrading to the lucid ifupdown package, returned my login consoles and services (somehow a mess my system while trying to upgrade some package from testing). I also have /etc/init/network-interface.conf.
One question though. My system boots from tty7, X are in tty8 and I have console logins in tty[2-6], but not in tty1. Is this normal?
