I can confirm alex's claim: the install finishes although it took my Dell
Latitude (Core 2 Duo/2.53GHz/4GB) almost
an hour and a half to finish zeroing 8GB worth of swap space. Btw alex, apart
from seeing the file /proc/<pid>/io really exists (but zero size), how could
one "see the progress" i.e. see the zeroes being written via /proc/<pid>/io ?
