@linuxhobo: Hi, I also have the same problem: can not use fglrx graphics and is not possible to disable card from BIOS. I have an ASUS M51Ta with two ATI cards:
01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RS780M/RS780MN [Radeon HD 3200 Graphics] 02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Mobility Radeon HD 3650 Now I'm using Fedora 12 with experimental dri enabled and have 3D stuff like compiz, but nothing to do to the 3D capabilities I had under Vista. I think it is because I'm using just the HD3200 under Fedora, and not the HD3650. How you made the "setupapi.app.log"? May be I could re-install Vista and make the same to have more information about this type of graphic cards. May be this can help to understand the functionality of the powerXpress cards: I read that under Win7 people with my computer could change between graphic cards using a combination of keys (http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&id=20090921085104687&board_id=3&model=M51Ta&page=2&count=12). Hope this issue is solved, because I love my computer and I love how GNU/Linux functions. rm -- hp Dm3z with switchable graphics can not use fglrx graphics / disable card https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/486714 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
