Update: 'reinstalling' the linux headers packages and then symlinking
/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.32-11-generic/ to /usr/src/linux/ did the
trick because I must have accidentally deleted the directory with the
header files. The NVIDIA .run package driver installed fine and
everything is great now.

Bug is now invalid.
