Hi om26er, I reopen this bug, as you asked. I tested Empathy feature in the Ubuntu -9-10 -Karmic-Koala-beta and got a 'Network error' sign when created new accounts; Jabber, Google talk. Steps to reproduce the bug: 1.Open Empathy from Application->Internet->Empathy IM Client 2.Click the button Edit Account or F4 3.In the welcome window click radio button 'No, I want new account', then click button Forward 4.In the window Enter Details for the New Accoun select one of the accounts type: Jabber, Google talk. 5. Type in username and password, then click button Forward See an attachment.
