@Andy thank you for your work. My test case: Boot system (KUBUNTU - 10.04 Lucid) with AC adapter plugged in. Baterry widget and PowerDevil report "Battery: not present". After unplugging AC adapter system detects battery. Plug AC adapter to notebook.
