I think this is a bug in the linux UVC driver; see the thread https://lists.berlios.de/pipermail/linux-uvc- devel/2010-January/005512.html on the linux-uvc-devel list.
I have a very simple (and stupid) patch which works around this in GStreamer; see the attached patch (for the gst-plugins-good0.10 source package). This is not the correct way to fix it, I think, but I would at least be interested to see if this also fixes things for others. Note: I tested this on Debian unstable, not on Ubuntu. ** Patch added: "For gst-plugins-good0.10; skip v4l2 control 9963795 to make the EeePC T91 webcam work." http://launchpadlibrarian.net/38489805/04_skip_v4l2_control.patch -- Cheese (and other Gnome apps) don't work with Asus t91's webcam https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/468924 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
