I have succesfully installed Ubuntu v9.10 onto my computer, alongside
Windows Vista. Currently Ubuntu is the default selection when grub
boots up. However, I would like to make Windows Vista the default and
have used your FAQ section on the Ubuntu website to guide me. It tells
me that if I change the default setting in menu.lst in the Boot
directory then this should solve the issue. However, there is no file
called menu.lst in the boot directory. I did however manage to find
grub.cfg which seems to house the same data. However, when attempting
to change the default and then save the file I'm told that the disk is
read only?!
Am I accessing the correct file or do I need to change the default in
another one?
