Public bug reported:
This bug is sporadic. There's no way for me to predict when it's going
to happen. I can go days without it, or it can take me hours, or I can
have it happen within minutes. Basically, what happens is during normal
use of 9.10 Netbook Remix on an Asus EEE PC 1005HA, the mouse and
keyboard suddenly stop responding. I discovered that if I then plug a
USB mouse into the machine, I can shutdown the unit cleanly using the
GUI (but the integrated touchpad continues to not respond).
I've seen similar issues while googling, but nothing that fit this
problem exactly, so I'm filing a bug.
