Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: quagga

Linux 2.6.20 now comes shipped with a implementation of TCP MD5
signatures, which is required by many transit providers. The Quagga
package contains a patch that adds support this, however it only
supports an older kernel implementation developed by Hasso Tepper (I
believe).

It would be truly awesome if Ubuntu's Quagga supported the new API and
that the shipped kernel had this enabled (see Launchpad #88912), so that
BGP peering would finally work completely straight out of the box, no
patching required.

There's already a patch available that works for me, developed by Leigh Brown,
available from:
http://lists.quagga.net/pipermail/quagga-dev/2006-December/004539.html

Please consider applying it.

Tore.
