Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
In Administration>user settings, the button "click to make changes" does
not respond. The "Install" button in Applications>software center does
not respond. I am the only user.
Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10
gnome-control-center:
Installed: 1:2.28.1-0ubuntu1
Candidate: 1:2.28.1-0ubuntu1
Version table:
*** 1:2.28.1-0ubuntu1 0
500 http://ubuntu.media.mit.edu karmic/main Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
I was seeking to check user membership in a group
nothing happens.
I can access my own account information by clicking on the "properties"
button. If I try to change my password the message "you are not allowed
to modify the system configuration". displays.
Thanks,
Gerard
