coldReactive, we sure will discuss it and have discussed it before as well. To be honest, I don't see your attitude being very creative.
Including a package as default for a release (especially LTS) needs more than being in the archive and working (quite) well for limited amount of people. Even transition from to an another release might make a difference, so having been testing it in Karmic doesn't really mean anything. Also, even if something depended partly on GNOME doesn't mean it's the worst alternative. We won't be including SLiM in Lucid for the reasons mentioned earlier plus the fact that it we are already quite late in the release schedule (past a few Alpha's). If you want to make sure SLiM is included in Lucid+1, I'm sorry to say but you might need to use a mailing list. -- (Xubuntu) Use SLiM In Lucid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/508423 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
