First, sorry you are having issues with your Ubuntu One install. I really
appreciate the updated information you provided. We can never have too much
info on these problems. I would like to look into this a little to better
determine the root cause.
However in the meantime there is a newer ubuntuone-client available that
might fix your issue. To install it please open a Terminal (Applications
> Accessories > Terminal) and run the following command.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuone/stable && sudo apt-get update &&
sudo apt-get upgrade
If this has a positive effect on your problem please let us know.
