Solution (tested in ubuntu 9.10):
- left-click on the cryptkeeper icon in the status bar
- right-click on the stash which you want to delete, and select "delete"
this is quite neat, and fast -- but could be more intuitive like
suggested above.
I think the original problem is fixed or was invalid.
