looks like this bug is back. Cant load the aic7xxx package in the new kernel. more people have this issue here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1324507 and it works ok on my kernel 2.6.28-17 which is left from jaunty. seems it might be same as this bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.15/+bug/41061 Please let me know what you need to debug this.
