Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdesdk
Starting with KDE 4.3.5, Kate consistently crashes when saving a file that got modified by an external process. This makes it unusable when working with a version control system such as Perforce (and probably same with SVN, git, etc.). There are several KDE bugs related to this: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=215967 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=165548 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=224229 ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 Date: Mon Feb 1 17:00:49 2010 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: kate 4:4.3.5-0ubuntu1~karmic1 ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_US:en PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-16.53-generic SourcePackage: kdesdk Uname: Linux 2.6.31-16-generic x86_64 ** Affects: kdesdk (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- Regression in KDE 4.3.5: Kate crashes when saving a file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/515811 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
