Public bug reported:
I could move over the desktop with the touchpad. I could no longer right
or leftclick with the buttons or by doubly ticking on the touchpad. Also
when I scrolled over windows and stopped the typicall display menu
didn't appear anymore. I could only get into a terminal by clicking
ctrl alt F1 and then I didn't know how to fix it. I tried xterm which
said: DISPLAY not set. Finally I rebooted with sudo reboot and the
problem was solved. I am using Edgy Eft Ubuntu (Gnome desktop).
