Hello, I'm experiencing the same annoying bug! I went ahead and installed dbgsym package of nautilus (nautilus-dbgsym) and did the backtrace.
Instead of crashing (which is normal when cut-pasting to an sftp location) nautilus hangs. I'm not sure why this happens, but it happens only if I run it using the degub symbols. Anyway, I'm attaching the produced files. I can provide more info if needed.
